Pepper and Soap Germ Trick
You need
- A plate of water
- Ground pepper
- Dish soap
Let's play
- Sprinkle pepper over the water. Pretend the pepper is germs.
- Dip a clean finger in. The "germs" stick to it!
- Now put a drop of soap on another finger and dip it in.
- Whoosh! The pepper rushes away from the soap.
Grown-up tip: The pepper moves because soap breaks the water’s surface. Real germs come off when you scrub with soap and rinse, so go wash for real, singing "Happy Birthday" twice.
