Ages3–7

You need

  • A balloon
  • A long string
  • A drinking straw and tape

Let's play

  1. Thread the string through the straw and tie it between two chairs.
  2. A grown-up blows up the balloon and pinches the end (don’t tie it).
  3. Tape the balloon to the straw.
  4. Let go and watch it zoom along the string!
Grown-up tip: Grown-ups blow up the balloon. Throw away broken balloon pieces right away, and never let children put balloons in their mouths: they are a choking hazard.
